Grammy Award-winning Jazz keyboardist, arranger, and record producer Bob James returns with his first solo album in twelve years. While James is recognized as one of the progenitors of smooth jazz, his music has also had a profound effect on the history of other music genres and artists. “Nautilus” from 1974’s One is among the most sampled tracks in history. The Bob James Trio complete with drummer Billy Kilson laying down smooth beats, along with the sweet bass lines of Michael Palazollo, continue to be modern pillars of today’s jazz scene.
