The album is a showcase of Gilbert at his most diverse and inventive, masterfully blending blistering instrumental tracks, vocal-driven rock songs, and his signature sharp wit. Alligator Farm solidified his reputation not just as a prodigious technician, but as a uniquely gifted songwriter and arranger.
