Originally released on the Theresa label in 1980, Kabsha is widely considered to be one of Idris Muhammad’s finest sessions as a bandleader. Recorded immediately following his work on Pharoah Sanders’ Journey to the One, this album finds the "uber drummer" leading a powerhouse ensemble through a stripped-back and direct performance of pure rhythm and melody.
