Renowned for his dazzling technique, infectious swing, and joyful touch, Alexander delivers an exhilarating piano trio performance that seamlessly blends bebop, blues, and Caribbean rhythmic influences with warmth and lyrical elegance.

 

Accompanied by bassist Hassan Shakur and drummer Willie Jones III, Alexander leads the trio through a brilliant program featuring original compositions like "Can't You See" and "Sweet Lady," alongside timeless standards such as "Come Fly with Me," "I've Never Been in Love Before," and the romantic title track medley. Recorded on September 12 and 13, 2010, at Avatar Studio in New York, the session captures the trio's irrepressible energy and effortless interplay.

 

Releasing in 2026 as part of the prestigious VENUS MASTERPIECE LP COLLECTION, this premium limited edition 180g Double Vinyl LP set brings these milestone sessions to a deluxe physical format. Produced by Tetsuo Hara and Todd Barkan, mixed and mastered using Venus's signature "Hyper Magnum Sound" process, and housed in a gatefold jacket with OBI strip, this strictly limited, one-time pressing will be permanently retired once sold out.
